Vinpro Hosts Second Session for Young Wine Producers

Francois Viljoen, the GEN-Z Project Manager and Vineyard Consultant at Vinpro, who convened the event, explained that the purpose of the initial meeting was mainly to transfer information to equip the attendees with knowledge about the industry. Francois emphasised the importance of being well-informed, stating, “An informed industry can only bring benefits.”

A new era for the Welgevallen Vineyard Project

Stellenbosch University (SU) partnered with Vinpro’s GEN-Z Vineyard Project to rejuvenate its experimental vineyards, transforming it into a world-class hub for practical skills transfer. Vinpro scoped the project, and the University approved it, leading to the uprooting of the old vineyards. The GEN-Z Vineyard Project team was contracted as the project managers to manage and implement the project.

International wine masters visited the Winelands

A group of international wine masters came to visit the Winelands this week and our GEN-Z team showed them around. The team shared a bit about their GEN-Z Vineyard Project and their Chardonnay clone demo at Creation. Creation hosted a Pinot noir master class tasting for the group, 42 masters, before taking them to the vineyard where the demo is planted.

Vinpro hosted their first Supplier’s Day
